Conn Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peyton McFrancise in the 29th minute of play forced Meenawogary FC's goalkeeper Boyle Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rorry McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Boyle Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Meenawogary FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bivadi Ferguson hit a great ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Rorry McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockfola FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rorry McGlenn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meenawogary FC's goalkeeper Boyle Hunt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beacan Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Callaghan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Beacan Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 49th minute Peyton McFrancise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyle Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tomás Callaghan made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peyton McFrancise in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boyle Hunt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Meenawogary FC defense, Rorry McGlenn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boyle Hunt. The Meenawogary FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boyle Hunt should have stopped the shot. If Rorry McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Meenawogary FC got a freekick which was hit by Bivadi Ferguson. With his leg Boyle Hunt managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Knockfola FC's Rorry McGlenn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Meenawogary FC's Bivadi Ferguson got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 70 played minutes Knockfola FC got a freekick which was hit by Rorry McGlenn. If Barney McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peyton McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peyton McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyle Hunt having to interfere. If Barney McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bivadi Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conn Hughes charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conn Hughes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Meenawogary FC booed when Knockfola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conn Hughes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beacan Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Callaghan in the 91st minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Booak Todd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beacan Byrne. Knockfola FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Booak Todd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
