Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nollaig McDonald kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Brendan Molloy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hickey McCollion. Kiltulla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brendan Molloy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Brendan Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiltulla's Hickey McCollion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baolach MaCollin in the 8th minute of play. Baolach MaCollin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hickey McCollion having to interfere. Hickey McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendan Molloy in the 15th minute of the match. Blayne McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bearach Gallagher having to interfere. Nollaig McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glen McVictor kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 38 played minutes Clontoe got a freekick which was hit by Rooney Colwell. Kiltulla's Tady Gough couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clontoe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nollaig McDonald in the 44th minute of play forced Clontoe's goalkeeper Bearach Gallagher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nollaig McDonald blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bearach Gallagher having to make a save. The corner led Kiltulla's Nollaig McDonald to fire away a dangerous shot which Bearach Gallagher despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brendan Molloy was the one to do the kick off. Brendan Molloy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hickey McCollion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blayne McGlenn in the 60th minute of play forced Clontoe's goalkeeper Bearach Gallagher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bearach Gallagher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blayne McGlenn's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Blayne McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bearach Gallagher having to interfere. Bearach Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nollaig McDonald in the 76th minute of play. Clontoe's Bearach Gallagher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nollaig McDonald in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Clontoe's goal looked a bit too open when Blayne McGlenn came free, but Bearach Gallagher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Clontoe defense, Blayne McGlenn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bearach Gallagher. The Clontoe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bearach Gallagher should have stopped the shot. After 91 played minutes Clontoe got a freekick which was hit by Kevis Perth. Nollaig McDonald might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bearach Gallagher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nollaig McDonald ran back to his position shaking his head. Blayne McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bearach Gallagher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendan Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kiltulla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clontoe had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
