Cluid's Donoghue Caffrey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blavock McGlynn in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Boynton Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilbeheny Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Boynton Walker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donoghue Caffrey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blavock McGlynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kilbeheny Utd's Royan O'Brien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodore Lavine in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Kilbeheny Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gearalt Myler to maneuver through the defense. Cluid's supporters rose to their feet, but Toran Molloy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Royan O'Brien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beara Hughes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Cluid's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Boynton Walker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donoghue Caffrey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Beara Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Royan O'Brien having to interfere. If Toran Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antaine McAlphie was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kilbeheny Utd! Royan O'Brien had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Dane Hughes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toran Molloy to make the kick off. Royan O'Brien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beara Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Kilbeheny Utd's Royan O'Brien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toran Molloy in the 60th minute of play. Royan O'Brien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beara Hughes in the 64th minute of play. Riley McAaron might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donoghue Caffrey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Riley McAaron ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Kilbeheny Utd's zone, Beara Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Royan O'Brien came out of the goal and Beara Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cluid's supporters rose to their feet, but Beara Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Royan O'Brien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 77 minutes, Beara Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cluid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beara Hughes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beara Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Royan O'Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Garrett Glen Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Beara Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toran Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beara Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Royan O'Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cluid's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
