Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dungloe's Conn MaCollin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Conn MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Damian Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Dungloe's Bartley Dempsey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Silke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bartley Dempsey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Silke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Damian Silke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conn MaCollin's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Bartley Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartley Dempseys short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Damian Silke to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 18th minute of the match Beothach Deans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blathmacc Brennan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damian Silke had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Bar Gollogley's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute, Dungloe's Conn MaCollin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Damian Silke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartley Dempsey in the 30th minute. Damian Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conn MaCollin in the 33rd minute of play. Dungloe's Blathmacc Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keelin John in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keelin John in the 40th minute of play forced Dungloe's goalkeeper Blathmacc Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartley Dempsey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Damian Silke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Damian Silke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conn MaCollin in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Keelin John to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Bartley Dempsey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Silke was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Conn MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dungloe's supporters rose to their feet, but Conn MaCollin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Silke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conn MaCollin in the 62nd minute of play forced Ballinaboy's goalkeeper Damian Silke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Keelin John got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geary Todd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Blathmacc Brennan made a huge save. With a little luck, Dungloe's Blathmacc Brennan got control of the ball when Geary Todd tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Silke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conn MaCollin in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartley Dempsey in the 81st minute of play forced Ballinaboy's goalkeeper Damian Silke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Silke came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Dungloe's Conn MaCollin. But to his dismay, Conn MaCollin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Damian Silke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conn MaCollin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballinaboy!
