The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ailill McTommy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Blathmac Horgan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damian Silke. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. The nice shot from Ailill McTommy in the 57thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Damian Silke had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 67 minutes of play, Ballinaboy's Keelin John made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ryon Ferguson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 76th minute, Geary Todd made a precise shot to the right of Ryon Ferguson. Bunaw's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Thanks to some nice moves Ailill McTommy could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Damian Silke however easily saved by the left post. Bray Sheridan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Ballinaboy's goalkeeper Damian Silke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ailill McTommy. In the 98th minute Keelin John shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryon Ferguson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballinaboy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
