Barclay McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver McLian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caimin McSteven's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Drumconnick's goalkeeper Oliver McLian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barclay McJohnny. Rossanean's Timothy Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorcan McAlphie in the 13th minute of play. When Reginald Bayes fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossanean's protests and gave Reginald Bayes a yellow card for diving instead. Barclay McJohnny who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Oliver McLian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 27thth minute of the game Caimin McSteven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drumconnick's Oliver McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bram McNamara during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rossanean's Bram McNamara got a free kick in the 28th minute. Caimin McSteven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Oliver McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorcan McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Duggan having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caimin McSteven to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Kevion Caffrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timothy Duggan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevion Caffrey in the 55th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caimin McSteven in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver McLian saved Drumconnick from getting behind. Lorcan McAlphie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Timothy Duggan made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Drumconnick's goal looked a bit too open when Barclay McJohnny came free, but Oliver McLian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Drumconnick getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Brendon McIan hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, Lorcan McAlphie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Timothy Duggan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Timothy Duggan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevion Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Drumconnick's goalkeeper Oliver McLian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Barclay McJohnny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Oliver McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorcan McAlphie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timothy Duggan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Lorcan McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timothy Duggan having to interfere. Lorcan McAlphie came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Timothy Duggan could save by the left post. In the 89th minute, Lorcan McAlphie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timothy Duggan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Lorcan McAlphie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timothy Duggan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Drumconnick players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
