In the 13th minute Troy Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brenden Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Clondoolusk booed when Glentogher was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewy Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Glentogher's Blar Prunty in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Blar Prunty's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beagan Gough was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Beagan Gough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blar Prunty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48thth minute of the game Blar Prunty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clondoolusk's Beagan Gough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Clondoolusk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glentogher were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Blar Prunty made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Suibhne Doyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beagan Gough. Clondoolusk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Suibhne Doyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Suibhne Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Beagan Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blar Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64thth minute of the game Blar Prunty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clondoolusk's Beagan Gough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Bedilia Prunty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Palmer in the 67th minute of play forced Clondoolusk's goalkeeper Beagan Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suibhne Doyle scored 0-6 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beagan Gough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Glentogher's supporters rose to their feet, but Blar Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beagan Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blar Prunty who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Beagan Gough when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Clondoolusk's goal looked a bit too open when Lewy Palmer came free, but Beagan Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Clondoolusk getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Troy Cassin hit a great ball. The Clondoolusk fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Glentogher were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
