Rockland's Derrick McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brefni Ferguson in the 11th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, Annavalla's Tipraite McWillie made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Derrick McGlenn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Derrick McGlenn made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Riley Willson sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Boyce MaCollin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rockland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Beagan Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Annavalla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nolyn Johnson to maneuver through the defense. Derrick McGlenn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Riley Willson in the 26th minute. Nolyn Johnson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 27th playminute. Rockland's Beagan Walker got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boyce MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Devlin McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carrig Molloy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Devlin McGlynn. Annavalla's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brefni Ferguson was the one to do the kick off. Beagan Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Devlin McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derrick McGlenn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nolyn Johnson in the 56th minute of the match. Jack Colwell hit a great ball. After 60 played minutes Rockland got a freekick which was hit by Jack Colwell. If Boyce MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beagan Walker in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Devlin McGlynn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 79 played minutes, Rockland's Gill Ferguson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Devlin McGlynn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rockland reached it. If Brefni Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute.
