Spectators: 6779 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brefni Ferguson kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Kevion Caffrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Riley Willson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliver McLian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Riley Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boddibevve McBrand during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Drumconnick's Boddibevve McBrand got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Riley Willson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drumconnick's Oliver McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lorcan McAlphie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Annavalla got a freekick which was hit by Nolyn Johnson. Devlin McGlynn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevion Caffrey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Brefni Ferguson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver McLian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bohannon McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Annavalla's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Kevion Caffrey scored to the left of an out of position Devlin McGlynn, making the score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Riley Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annavalla's supporters rose to their feet, but Riley Willson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riley Willson in the 41st minute of play forced Drumconnick's goalkeeper Oliver McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver McLian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni Ferguson in the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Kevion Caffrey made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Drumconnick's Brendon McIan got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Drumconnick's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bera Hughes was slow to take the kick. During this time Annavalla's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Annavalla's corner Bera Hughes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oliver McLian quite easily take care of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Annavalla's goal looked a bit too open when Kevion Caffrey came free, but Devlin McGlynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevion Caffrey in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Devlin McGlynn saved Annavalla from getting behind. Lorcan McAlphie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Devlin McGlynn having to make a save. Riley Willson kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 68thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Drumconnick's keeper Oliver McLian was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Oliver McLian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brefni Ferguson in the 71st minute of the match. Nolyn Johnson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Annavalla defense, Kevion Caffrey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Devlin McGlynn. The Annavalla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Devlin McGlynn should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Drumconnick's Lorcan McAlphie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Devlin McGlynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lorcan McAlphie struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Devlin McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumconnick. Oliver McLian was a little too slow when Brefni Ferguson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 2-1. Riley Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver McLian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brefni Ferguson in the 93rd minute of play. After 97 played minutes Drumconnick got a freekick which was hit by Bohannon McPhilip. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Drumconnick fans cheered their team off the field, for while Annavalla had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
