Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bebhinn Willson started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Rockland defense, Bebhinn Willson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derrick McGlenn. The Rockland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derrick McGlenn should have stopped the shot. Derrick McGlenn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artuir Gillmour in the 6th minute of play. Beagan Gough made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Carrig Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Beagan Walker had several of the Clondoolusk's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Beagan Gough as he didn't even see the shot coming. With his leg Beagan Gough managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Rockland's Beagan Walker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Beagan Walker in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beagan Gough, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Clondoolusk's zone, Carrig Molloy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beagan Gough came out of the goal and Carrig Molloy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bealtaine MaCollin during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Clondoolusk's Rorry Johnson tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Rockland's Jack Colwell got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Beagan Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rockland's supporters rose to their feet, but Beagan Walker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beagan Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beagan Walker in the 39th minute of play forced Clondoolusk's goalkeeper Beagan Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carrig Molloy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beagan Gough having to make a save. Rockland's Derrick McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troy Cassin in the 44th minute of play. If Artuir Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beagan Walker to make the kick off. In the 52nd play minute Artuir Gillmour came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Derrick McGlenn. 1-2. 55 minutes into the match, Rockland's goal looked a bit too open when Bebhinn Willson came free, but Derrick McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beagan Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beagan Gough having to interfere. Artuir Gillmour scored 2-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Derrick McGlenn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Beagan Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Troy Cassin fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clondoolusk's protests and gave Troy Cassin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Clondoolusk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Cassin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Clondoolusk's zone, Bealtaine MaCollin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beagan Gough came out of the goal and Bealtaine MaCollin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bow Holt hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Carrig Molloy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beagan Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beagan Walker in the 83rd minute of play forced Clondoolusk's goalkeeper Beagan Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrew Todd during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Rockland got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Todd. After having played for 90 minutes, Bebhinn Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clondoolusk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bebhinn Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyce MaCollin in the 93rd minute of play forced Clondoolusk's goalkeeper Beagan Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artuir Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Andrew Todd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
