Trevor Matthews 's late challenge caught a Corraree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trevor Matthews helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Shanvally's Trevor Matthews got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Brendon McPhil didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Corraree's Hewney Dempsey shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 13th match minute, Shanvally was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh Coyle to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Hewney Dempsey made a precise shot to the right of Brendon McPhil. Shanvally's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Hewney Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendon McPhil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hewney Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. 29 minutes into the match, Shanvally's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Johnson came free, but Brendon McPhil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bar Quinnless blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brendon McPhil having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, Shanvally's goal looked a bit too open when Hewney Dempsey came free, but Brendon McPhil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hewney Dempsey took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brendon McPhil. Brendon McPhil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bar Quinnless in the 42nd minute of play forced Shanvally's goalkeeper Brendon McPhil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendon McPhil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bar Quinnless in the 44th minute of the match. Brendon McPhil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bar Quinnless's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Brendon McPhil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bar Quinnless in the 52nd minute. After 55 minutes Shanvally's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bar Quinnless who took care of the corner kick. Brogan Doherty kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Hewney Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Bar Quinnless got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brendon McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hewney Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perry McPeter during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th minute, one of Shanvally:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shanvally. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Corraree. Bar Quinnless stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brendon McPhil. 1-4. Bar Quinnless recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Shanvally's Theobald McPaul nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joshua Frankson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Joshua Frankson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brogan Doherty in the 82nd minute of the match. Bar Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon McPhil having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Bar Quinnless managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corraree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bar Quinnless was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shanvally's Brendon McPhil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Shanvally from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Hewney Dempsey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brendon McPhil, 2-6. A collision led to Corraree getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Barde Murphy hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Corraree walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
