Reginald McPhilip lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 3 minutes into the game, one of Lehenagh FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Breannain McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lehenagh FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Breannain McBrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon McPhil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Breannain McBrand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brendon McPhil. That made the score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. Breannain McBrand struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Brendon McPhil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lehenagh FC. After 24 minutes, Trevor Matthews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shanvally and the Lehenagh FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trevor Matthews hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Brendon McPhil was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Breannain McBrand capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Breannain McBrand really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 29th minute Theobald McPaul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver McJon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Breannain McBrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lehenagh FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shanvally the free kick. In the 35th minute, Breannain McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Shanvally's Hugh Coyle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver McJon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Banan Ferguson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brendon McPhil having to make a save. Breannain McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon McPhil having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Theobald McPaul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hugh Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes, Theobald McPaul made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Lehenagh FC's Oliver McJon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Breannain McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hugh Coyle came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oliver McJon could save by the left post. After having played for 78 minutes, Breannain McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lehenagh FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breannain McBrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliver McJon made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Hugh Coyle sent off a good shot on target. Lehenagh FC's Breannain McBrand got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shanvally's Brendon McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Banan Ferguson in the 87th minute of play. Brendon McPhil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breannain McBrand's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Shanvally got a freekick which was hit by Brogan Doherty. After having played for 90 minutes, Breannain McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lehenagh FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breannain McBrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 95 in the game by Brogan Doherty from a close distance when the talented Oliver McJon managed to make a qualified save. Lehenagh FC's players were relieved. After 96 minutes of play, Lehenagh FC's Breannain McBrand made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendon McPhil was left in no man's land by his defense there!
