In the 39th minute, Cacey McIan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boru Savic. The goal made the score 1-2. Cacey Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Heron O'Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacey Tracy in the 46th minute of play forced Park FC's goalkeeper Heron O'Brien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Skeagh Utd were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the game, Bram Prunty threw the ball into play from the sideline. Skeagh Utd's Fachtna McWilliam quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 53 minutes, Gaynor Bayes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skeagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaynor Bayes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Park FC's Heron O'Brien got control of the ball when Cacey Tracy tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Skeagh Utd's Fachtna McWilliam got a free kick in the 57th minute. Heron O'Brien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacey Tracy in the 60th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Skeagh Utd defense, Beachain Taylor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boru Savic. The Skeagh Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boru Savic should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute, Cacey Tracy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
