Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Harrington Quinnless started the match with the kick off. Seoirse Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Falprobog Utd's Seoirse Rutherford sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cahir Doherty narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cahir Doherty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beartlai Ghee's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 9th match minute, Finglas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derry Doherty to maneuver through the defense. Cahir Doherty was a little too slow when Seoirse Rutherford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Seoirse Rutherford scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cahir Doherty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beartlai Ghee in the 24th minute of play. Seoirse Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Beartlai Ghee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gearard McBrandon during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Seoirse Rutherford who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Cahir Doherty when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harrington Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Mulvihill having to interfere. Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beartlai Ghee in the 46th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beartlai Ghee in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cahir Doherty prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

In the 52nd minute, Seoirse Rutherford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cahir Doherty was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Seoirse Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Finglas AFC's Cahir Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seoirse Rutherford in the 58th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Seoirse Rutherford sped through Finglas AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cahir Doherty. Beartlai Ghee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cahir Doherty having to interfere. Beartlai Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cahir Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Finglas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geary Kirby to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute of the match Falprobog Utd got a corner. Finglas AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Braoin McTommy ran over to the corner to take the kick. 72 minutes into the game, Roordan McSteve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Finglas AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Falprobog Utd the free kick. The supporters of Falprobog Utd booed when Finglas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roordan McSteve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cahir Doherty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beartlai Ghee in the 73rd minute of the match. Cahir Doherty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beartlai Ghee in the 77th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, Falprobog Utd's Beartlai Ghee made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cahir Doherty was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Nolen Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cahir Doherty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Johnson in the 85th minute of the match. Cahir Doherty came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Falprobog Utd's Nolen Caffrey. But to his dismay, Nolen Caffrey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Cahir Doherty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beartlai Ghee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seoirse Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beartlai Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Cahir Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Falprobog Utd had played much better football throughout.
