Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gill Cronin kicked off to start the match. Teddy Hunt was a little too slow when Auley Grant got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cloghroe's goalkeeper Banon Ghee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Auley Grant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teddy Hunt having to interfere. When Geoffrey John came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Cloghroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geoffrey John couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Gill Cronin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Geoffrey John had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Auley Grant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Teddy Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Gill Cronin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banon Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Riddock Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cloghroe's Auley Grant got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geoffrey John sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Drumahayre's supporters rose to their feet, but Gill Cronin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Banon Ghee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Gill Cronin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antaine McPhil during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abban McGlenn might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Banon Ghee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abban McGlenn ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, Drumahayre's goal looked a bit too open when Auley Grant came free, but Teddy Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Geoffrey John hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Antaine McPhil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drumahayre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
