Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baird Taylor started the match with the kick off. Torna Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pauric John having to interfere. When Dunbrin's Baird Taylor in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Lester in the 13th minute of play forced Hollymount FC's goalkeeper Pauric John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Hollymount FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dunbrin:s goal. Baird Taylor walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in Hollymount FC's zone, Fergal Myler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pauric John came out of the goal and Fergal Myler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Baird Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Baird Taylor put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pauric John. With a little luck, Dunbrin's Nollaig Taylor got control of the ball when Triain McPaul tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beothach Murphy scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nollaig Taylor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd match minute, Hollymount FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Triain McPaul to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torna Keegan in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pauric John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heron Horgan in the 34th minute of play forced Dunbrin's goalkeeper Nollaig Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beothach Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Nollaig Taylor made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Baird Taylor notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Hollymount FC's Pauric John. Pauric John was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Beothach Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Nollaig Taylor made a huge save. After 45 minutes of play, Dunbrin's Piers Lester made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pauric John was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Hollymount FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dunbrin were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Heron Horgan made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baird Taylor in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pauric John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hollymount FC's Beothach Murphy got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Torna Keegan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pauric John. Torna Keegan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Fergal Myler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pauric John having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Dunbrin's Baird Taylor made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pauric John was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Baird Taylor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pauric John. That made the score 1-6 in the 78 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torna Keegan got free with Pauric John in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pauric John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baird Taylor in the 83rd minute. Abban Gough's late challenge caught a Hollymount FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abban Gough helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Dunbrin got a freekick which was hit by Abban Gough. 95 minutes into the game, Dunbrin's Baird Taylor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pauric John made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7.
