But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seoirse Rutherford couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Cooney in the 10th minute of play forced Falprobog Utd's goalkeeper Britain Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Seoirse Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paud Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Mulvihill having to interfere. Britain Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paud Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falprobog Utd's Britain Mulvihill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Falprobog Utd from getting a goal against them. Breasal Lester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beartlai Ghee, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Seoirse Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seoirse Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breasal Lester having to interfere. When Falprobog Utd's Beartlai Ghee in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bunnagippaun FC's goalie prevented a goal. Breasal Lester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Seoirse Rutherford's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Falprobog Utd's Colm McJames got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Arnold Cooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Britain Mulvihill was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arnold Cooney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. Arnold Cooney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Mulvihill having to interfere. Paud Frankson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Britain Mulvihill made a huge save. Peter Johnson's late challenge caught a Bunnagippaun FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Johnson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Falprobog Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Johnson to maneuver through the defense. Britain Mulvihill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paud Frankson in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnold Cooney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Beartlai Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Breasal Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Beartlai Ghee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bunnagippaun FC's goalkeeper Breasal Lester, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seoirse Rutherfords short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Breasal Lester to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 63 minutes, Dillon Brennan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bunnagippaun FC and the Falprobog Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dillon Brennan hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Seoirse Rutherford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Bunnagippaun FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Brandan Lester hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Falprobog Utd's Braoin McTommy tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arnold Cooney might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Britain Mulvihill. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnold Cooney ran back to his position shaking his head. Britain Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Cooney in the 81st minute of play. Peter Johnson was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd minute, Peter Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Arnold Cooney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Britain Mulvihill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Nolen Caffrey came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Falprobog Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nolen Caffrey couldn't finish the play. Nolen Caffrey struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Breasal Lester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falprobog Utd.
