Patty Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Breasal Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bunnagippaun FC's Blanche McJon got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Danesfort FC's Batt Colwell got control of the ball when Paud Frankson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Cooney in the 16th minute of play forced Danesfort FC's goalkeeper Batt Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Paud Frankson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Danesfort FC's Batt Colwell. Batt Colwell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Bunnagippaun FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Brandan Lester hit a great ball. Paud Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batt Colwell having to interfere. Torey Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Breasal Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnold Cooney was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Bunnagippaun FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Blanche McJon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Batt Colwell. That made the score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. When Blanche McJon fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bunnagippaun FC's protests and gave Blanche McJon a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Bunnagippaun FC got a freekick which was hit by Blanche McJon. In the 37th match minute, Danesfort FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patty Gough to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Arnold Cooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batt Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Batt Colwell made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Paud Frankson sent off a good shot on target. Arnold Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batt Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Cooney in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match, Arnold Cooney tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Batt Colwell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Danesfort FC's goalkeeper Batt Colwell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Batt Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Cooney in the 55th minute of play. When Bunnagippaun FC's Arnold Cooney in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Danesfort FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patty Gough in the 71st minute of play forced Bunnagippaun FC's goalkeeper Breasal Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bergin Holt's late challenge caught a Danesfort FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bergin Holt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Paud Frankson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Batt Colwell was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Batt Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paud Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Batt Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Cooney in the 82nd minute of the match. Thurl Glen Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Paud Frankson took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Batt Colwell. Batt Colwell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Cooney in the 89th minute of play forced Danesfort FC's goalkeeper Batt Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Bunnagippaun FC's Arnold Cooney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Batt Colwell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2.
