Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Beartlai Ghee made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Gortnakilly getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Kevinn McIan hit a great ball. Seoirse Rutherford who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Dennis Callaghan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Beartlai Ghee struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Dennis Callaghan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falprobog Utd. After a rather tough play, Gortnakilly's Kain Crowe got a free kick in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Falprobog Utd's Braoin McTommy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gortnakilly's Dennis Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beartlai Ghee in the 33rd minute of play. Peter Johnson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Callaghan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Falprobog Utd booed when Gortnakilly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braoin McTommy, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bairthmead Scully charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bairthmead Scully the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Falprobog Utd's Bairthmead Scully got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Beartlai Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bola Jameson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bola Jameson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Gortnakilly's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Geoffrey Doyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Seoirse Rutherford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gortnakilly's Dennis Callaghan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dennis Callaghan came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Falprobog Utd's Seoirse Rutherford. But to his dismay, Seoirse Rutherford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Seoirse Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lewis McPaul kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beartlai Ghee in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Callaghan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Kevinn McIan fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortnakilly's protests and gave Kevinn McIan a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beartlai Ghee in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Callaghan saved Gortnakilly from getting behind. Falprobog Utd's Britain Mulvihill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Falprobog Utd from getting a goal against them. Seoirse Rutherford took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Callaghan. Dennis Callaghan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After having played for 93 minutes, Beartlai Ghee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falprobog Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beartlai Ghee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seoirse Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Callaghan having to interfere. Falprobog Utd walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
