Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bryan Hutton lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Bunnagippaun FC. Brandan Lester stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pauric John. 1-0. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Paud Frankson sped through Hollymount FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pauric John. Beothach Murphy 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breasal Lester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Beothach Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Arnold Cooney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hollymount FC's Pauric John was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnold Cooney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pauric John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Cooney in the 28th minute of play forced Hollymount FC's goalkeeper Pauric John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pauric John came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Bunnagippaun FC's Arnold Cooney. But to his dismay, Arnold Cooney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 31st minute Beothach Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breasal Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breasal Lester came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Hollymount FC's Beothach Murphy . But to his dismay, Beothach Murphy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 40th minute, Paud Frankson made a precise shot to the right of Pauric John. Hollymount FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Pauric John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paud Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Beothach Murphy made the kick off in the second half. When Bunnagippaun FC's Arnold Cooney in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hollymount FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 56th match minute, Hollymount FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beothach Murphy to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hollymount FC's goalkeeper Pauric John, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 63 minutes of play, Bunnagippaun FC's Paud Frankson made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pauric John was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pauric John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paud Frankson in the 68th minute of the match. Paud Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Pauric John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pauric John stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paud Frankson's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Paud Frankson notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Hollymount FC's Pauric John. Pauric John was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Hollymount FC's Beothach Murphy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Breasal Lester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Arnold Cooney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunnagippaun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnold Cooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pauric John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hollymount FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bunnagippaun FC.
