Batt Colwell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Danesfort FC's Batt Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piers Lester in the 16th minute of play. Batt Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torna Keegan in the 19th minute of play. Dunbrin's Nollaig Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torey Murphy in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes Dunbrin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thurl Glen Crowe who took care of the corner kick. Torey Murphy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nollaig Taylor firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thurl Glen Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Dunbrin booed when Danesfort FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thurl Glen Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batt Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baird Taylor in the 37th minute of play. Dunbrin's Nollaig Taylor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Dunbrin from getting a goal against them. Dunbrin's Scott Quinnless got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torey Murphy was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Danesfort FC's Patty Gough got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Dunbrin's Nollaig Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torey Murphy in the 56th minute of play. Patty Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nollaig Taylor having to interfere. Danesfort FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Baird Taylor scored to the left of an out of position Batt Colwell, making the score, 0-2. Nollaig Taylor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torey Murphy in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, Dunbrin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baird Taylor to maneuver through the defense. When Torey Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Danesfort FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torey Murphy couldn't finish the play. Torey Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Barcvni McVictor hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Torey Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nollaig Taylor having to interfere. Torey Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Coinneach Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunbrin's supporters rose to their feet, but Coinneach Lavine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batt Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dunbrin's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
