The audience thought a goal was coming when Beckett Coyle got free with Rowan Benson in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Binean Harkin hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes, Branagain Ghee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cappanagh Utd and the Doagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Branagain Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Bret McTom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Braonain Robinson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Beckett Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Conaill John shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braonain Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beothach McJohn struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Rowan Benson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cappanagh Utd. After 33 played minutes Doagh got a freekick which was hit by Tate Delaney. After having played for 40 minutes, Beckett Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cappanagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beckett Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rowan Benson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beothach McJohn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Beckett Coyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bret McTom to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Cappanagh Utd's goalkeeper Braonain Robinson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conaill John. Doagh's Rowan Benson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beothach McJohn in the 64th minute of play. Beckett Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Benson having to interfere. In the 70th minute Beothach McJohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowan Benson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Beothach McJohn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowan Benson was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After having played for 75 minutes, Beckett Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cappanagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beckett Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rowan Benson came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Cappanagh Utd's Beckett Coyle. But to his dismay, Beckett Coyle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Beckett Coyle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowan Benson was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Beothach McJohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Benson having to interfere. Rowan Benson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beothach McJohn went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Beothach McJohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rowan Benson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rowan Benson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beothach McJohn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Beckett Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cappanagh Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Beckett Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rowan Benson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beothach McJohn in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rowan Benson saved Doagh from getting behind. Cappanagh Utd walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
