The audience was convinced that Séamus McPaul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fionntán Dunne was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Samueil McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fionntán Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Killinkere's zone, Breed Johnson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boland Bayes came out of the goal and Breed Johnson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Samueil McCollion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killinkere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samueil McCollion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Abbeyville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rannal Dunne during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Killinkere's Séamus McPaul got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Killinkere fully deserved thier win.
