Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Benjamin McPaul made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Caher's Triain McIan got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 4 played minutes, Ventry's Herich McPaul shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reilly McSteven came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ventry reached it. Reilly McSteven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herich McPaul in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Bearach Sheridan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Reilly McSteven was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin McPaul in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reilly McSteven saved Caher from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Bree Holt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bearach Sheridan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bearach Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ventry were furious when Braon Caffrey was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute, one of Ventry:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ventry. Reilly McSteven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin McPaul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Benjamin McPaul put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Reilly McSteven. The crowd rose to their feet as Adamnan Crowe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Timothy Taylor. That made the score 2-2 in the 44 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adamnan Crowe to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Herich McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ventry's supporters rose to their feet, but Herich McPaul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reilly McSteven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Caher getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Kieran Dalton hit a great ball. In the 59thth minute of the game Adamnan Crowe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ventry's Timothy Taylor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reilly McSteven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herich McPaul in the 62nd minute of play. If Benjamin McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herich McPaul might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reilly McSteven. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herich McPaul ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin McPaul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Herich McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ventry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herich McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match, Herich McPaul tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reilly McSteven saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Herich McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pauric Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reilly McSteven made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Benjamin McPaul sent off a good shot on target. Adamnan Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Timothy Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Benjamin McPaul made a precise shot to the right of Reilly McSteven. Caher's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. The Caher fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ventry were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
