Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aban Deans made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aban Deans in the 3rd minute of play forced Kells Utd's goalkeeper Brann Benson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brasil Dunne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brann Benson having to interfere. In the 11th minute Aban Deans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brann Benson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Drumlish's goalkeeper Donegan Harkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denny McCready. Peadair Dillon hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Desmond Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Donegan Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desmond Tracy in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donegan Harkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beagan Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brann Benson having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Brasil Dunne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brann Benson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aban Deans, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Desmond Tracy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. During the 55th minute of the match Brasil Dunne completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brasil Dunne a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 55th match minute, Drumlish was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brasil Dunne to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Denny McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kells Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Denny McCready was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donegan Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donegan Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denny McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paud McPaul charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paud McPaul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Desmond Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Desmond Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute, Denny McCready left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kells Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Donegan Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berkeley Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Kells Utd's Denny McCready, in the 82nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Kells Utd. Beagan Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Brann Benson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gearoid McBjarton hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Beagan Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brann Benson having to interfere. Denny McCready recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Gollogley struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Donegan Harkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kells Utd. For all the effort they put into the match, the Drumlish players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kells Utd.
