After 3 minutes, Bedilia Gillmour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballymaquiff Utd and the Kirikee Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kirikee Utd booed when Ballymaquiff Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedilia Gillmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Kirikee Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Berry Dimson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Berry Dimson struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Kieran Benson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballymaquiff Utd. In the 18th minute, Berk Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballymaquiff Utd's Abban McCollion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paudraig Sheridan in the 21st minute of play. Berry Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berry Dimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieran Benson having to interfere. Abban McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland McJames in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Timmons Tierney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abban McCollion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abban McCollion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paudraig Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Kirikee Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Colmcille Duggan came free, but Kieran Benson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Berry Dimson made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Gilbert Rutherford threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ballymaquiff Utd's Dillon Myler quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Berry Dimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieran Benson having to interfere. Timmons Tierney came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abban McCollion could save by the left post. Binnech John kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Abban McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland McJames in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Ballymaquiff Utd getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Blathmacc McBjarton hit a great ball. Declan McLiam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Abban McCollion made a huge save. After having played for 83 minutes, Berry Dimson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballymaquiff Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berry Dimson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ballymaquiff Utd's zone, Declan McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abban McCollion came out of the goal and Declan McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Declan McLiam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kirikee Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballymaquiff Utd the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kirikee Utd's Declan McLiam got a free kick in the 88th minute. Ballymaquiff Utd's Abban McCollion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland McJames in the 92nd minute of play. Roland McJames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kirikee Utd were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
