Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Douglas McJohnny got the match started through his kick off. Douglas McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blathma Delaney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kilcommon's Douglas McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blathma Delaney got free with Bodibeua Gillmour in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ros Delaney during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ros Delaney hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas McJohnny in the 33rd minute of play forced Killincoole's goalkeeper Bernard Cooney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blathma Delaney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bin Dunne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Cooney having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Blathma Delaney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bodibeua Gillmour. Kilcommon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blathma Delaney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Dennis Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bodibeua Gillmour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bodibeua Gillmour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Martyn in the 56th minute of play. Bodibeua Gillmour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ros Delaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Bin Dunne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Cooney having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Kilcommon got a freekick which was hit by Teris MaCollin. Douglas McJohnny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Cooney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Kilcommon's Bodibeua Gillmour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Martyn in the 81st minute of play. After 83 played minutes Killincoole got a freekick which was hit by Blair Glen Crowe. In the 85th minute Douglas McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Cooney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blathma Delaney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bodibeua Gillmour dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Killincoole's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
