Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dennis Martyn got the match started through his kick off. Bernard Cooney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rian McMichel's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. Blair Glen Crowe hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Martyn in the 23rd minute of play forced Knockstown's goalkeeper Breadan Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Killincoole's Brenn McJohnny got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Rian McMichel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killincoole's Bernard Cooney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Knockstown's zone, Dennis Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breadan Glen Crowe came out of the goal and Dennis Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Knockstown getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Darick Robinson hit a great ball. Bernard Cooney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryland Murphy in the 34th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Dennis Martyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knockstown's Breadan Glen Crowe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Knockstown's Darick Robinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Cooney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Breadan Glen Crowe came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Killincoole's Dennis Martyn. But to his dismay, Dennis Martyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rian McMichel made a kick off. Rian McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Killincoole defense, Rian McMichel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Cooney. The Killincoole fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Cooney should have stopped the shot. Breadan Glen Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Martyn in the 91st minute of play. Rian McMichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
