Ryan Costello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brite McBrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barran Gillmour scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ryan Costello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Bressal Dimson fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milestown AFC's protests and gave Bressal Dimson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Barran Gillmour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryan Costello was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Brite McBrand in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ryan Costello, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 24 minutes, Brite McBrand made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Milestown AFC's Ryan Costello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Querrin Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon McTom came free, but Cahir McFrank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Beolagh Caffey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bowen McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Beolagh Caffey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beolagh Caffey in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cahir McFrank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Dillon during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Milestown AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Dillon. Brite McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barran Gillmour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beag Ghee kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Beolagh Caffey made the kick off in the second half. Brite McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Barran Gillmour made a precise shot to the right of Ryan Costello. Milestown AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 69th minute, Beag Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gordon McTom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barran Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Brite McBrand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barran Gillmour in the 85th minute of play forced Milestown AFC's goalkeeper Ryan Costello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes Milestown AFC got a freekick which was hit by Quinton Myler. In the 89th match minute, Milestown AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bressal Dimson to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, one of Querrin Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Milestown AFC. Leonard Dillon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cahir McFrank. 4-2. Milestown AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
