Terence McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence Harkin having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Baltyboys AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dunbyrne:s goal. The referee gave Dunbyrne a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sheridan Brennan , who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Baltyboys AFC's Branagain Doherty. 0-1. When Ross McJohn came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Dunbyrne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ross McJohn couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dunbyrne's goalkeeper Terence Harkin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Terence McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baltyboys AFC's goalkeeper Branagain Doherty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dunbyrne's Terence Harkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Dunbyrne from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Dunbyrne's zone, Terence McFrancise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terence Harkin came out of the goal and Terence McFrancise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Terence Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terence McFrancise, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Terence McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sherlock Fergusons short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Terence Harkin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Terence Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terence McFrancise in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Dunbyrne were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terence McFrancise stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Baltyboys AFC got a freekick which was hit by Egan Caffey. Branagain Doherty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davie Caffey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute of the match Keely Doyle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Terence Harkin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Terence McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Terence Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Davie Caffey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branagain Doherty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Terence McFrancise made a precise shot to the right of Terence Harkin. Dunbyrne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Suibhne Silke kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Branagain Doherty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ross McJohn in the 76th minute. Terence McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sherlock Ferguson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Terence Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Terence McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terrence Tierney charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Terrence Tierney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 91 minutes, Terence McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baltyboys AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terence McFrancise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Dunbyrne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terrence Tierney to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Ross McJohn fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Branagain Doherty, passed just outside the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
