Milestown AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 7 minutes, Breadan Costello made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Milestown AFC's Ryan Costello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th match minute, Glenbonniv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiachra MaCollin to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Milestown AFC's Leonard Dillon tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A hard shot 17 in the game by Lee McStephen from a close distance when the talented Ryan Costello managed to make a qualified save. Milestown AFC's players were relieved. Barran Martyn hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Milestown AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Baydan McWill hit a great ball. Gordon McTom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phelim Morrison having to make a save. 28 minutes into the game, Milestown AFC's Beolagh Caffey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phelim Morrison made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lee McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Baydan McWill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beolagh Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phelim Morrison having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Breadan Costello made the kick off in the second half. Ryan Costello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breadan Costello in the 53rd minute of the match. Gordon McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Phelim Morrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryan Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee McStephen in the 62nd minute of play. Ryan Costello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breadan Costello in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lee McStephen in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ryan Costello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Breadan Costello scored 2-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ryan Costello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Phelim Morrison successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gordon McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phelim Morrison having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Beolagh Caffey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Phelim Morrison, 2-2. Milestown AFC's Ryan Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee McStephen in the 82nd minute of play. Lee McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ryan Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lee McStephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glenbonniv's supporters rose to their feet, but Lee McStephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ryan Costello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lee McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryan Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 95 minutes, Bressal Dimson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milestown AFC and the Glenbonniv players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bressal Dimson kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Breadan Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
