The crowd rose to their feet as Buach Dunne kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Shamus Quinnless. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Irishford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beineon Quinnless to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bret Mulvihill in the 13th minute of play forced Irishford's goalkeeper Conan McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes, Buach Dunne made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kilmacteige Utd's Shamus Quinnless tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Kilmacteige Utd getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Blaithmeic Savic hit a great ball. Buach Dunne received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Shamus Quinnless came out and tried to block the shot, but Buach Dunne slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 19th minute. 25 minutes in the game, Buach Dunne fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Shamus Quinnless having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Buach Dunne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Shamus Quinnless managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Irishford's Buach Dunne fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Kilmacteige Utd's Blaithmeic Savic got a free kick in the 37th minute. Buach Dunne in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Shamus Quinnless, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 38 minutes, Terry Beckett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilmacteige Utd and the Irishford players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Kilmacteige Utd got a freekick which was hit by Terry Beckett. Buach Dunne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shamus Quinnless read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kilmacteige Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brefni Sheridan was slow to take the kick. During this time Irishford's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Brefni Sheridan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kilmacteige Utd's Shamus Quinnless did a great save. The supporters of Kilmacteige Utd booed when Irishford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beineon Quinnless didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Kilmacteige Utd getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Blathmacc Ferguson hit a great ball. With 76 minutes on the clock, Bairrionn McWill commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Irishford fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Críostóir Silke in the 89th minute of play forced Irishford's goalkeeper Conan McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Críostóir Silke during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Críostóir Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Irishford fully deserved thier win.
