An unexpectedly hard shot by Barr McSteve in the 28th minute of play forced Ballynasrah FC's goalkeeper Aubrey McTom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ballynasrah FC's Harry Frankson got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Barr McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aubrey McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barr McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Fionntán Moran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Paud Ferguson made a huge save. Reagrove Utd's Paud Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fionntán Moran in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Reagrove Utd got a freekick which was hit by Philib McFrancise. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barr McSteve was the one to do the kick off. Harry Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinny McWillie's late challenge caught a Reagrove Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinny McWillie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute of the match Finnigan Frankson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aubrey McTom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aubrey McTom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barr McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89thth minute of the game Barr McSteve who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballynasrah FC's Aubrey McTom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Reagrove Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quinton Crowe to maneuver through the defense. When Jarlath Frankson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ballynasrah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarlath Frankson couldn't finish the play. Jarlath Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paud Ferguson having to interfere.
