Spectators: 6764 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 0) Brendanus Colwell made the kick off and thus started the match. If Brendanus Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ardloy's zone, Doney Holt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce McDecland came out of the goal and Doney Holt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Brendanus Colwell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boyce McDecland was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Rockfield's Coran Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearroid Gough in the 8th minute of play. Gearroid Gough's late challenge caught a Rockfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gearroid Gough helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ardloy's Gearroid Gough got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Brendanus Colwell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boyce McDecland, 1-0. Lawrence Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Coran Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rockfield's Coran Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearroid Gough in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Rogers in the 26th minute of play forced Rockfield's goalkeeper Coran Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rockfield fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendanus Colwell in the 34th minute of play forced Ardloy's goalkeeper Boyce McDecland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes, Tevis Myler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rockfield and the Ardloy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rockfield getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tevis Myler hit a great ball. Gearroid Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brendanus Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Lawrence Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coran Doherty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boyce McDecland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendanus Colwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Ardloy's goal looked a bit too open when Brendanus Colwell came free, but Boyce McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gearroid Gough made a kick off. Brendanus Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyce McDecland having to interfere. After 55 minutes of play Ardloy's Gearroid Gough was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Ardloy's Gearroid Gough got a free kick in the 56th minute. Doney Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Boyce McDecland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boyce McDecland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendanus Colwell in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Doney Holt notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ardloy's Boyce McDecland. Boyce McDecland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Coran Doherty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gehan Taylor in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Rockfield got a freekick which was hit by Beckett Gillmour. With a little luck, Rockfield's Coran Doherty got control of the ball when Lawrence Rogers tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Ardloy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ravan Crowe to maneuver through the defense. Doney Holt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gearroid Morrison charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gearroid Morrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gearroid Morrison hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Doney Holt might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boyce McDecland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doney Holt ran back to his position shaking his head. Boyce McDecland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doney Holt's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. A collision led to Rockfield getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tevis Myler hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match Teris McTommy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Coran Doherty skillfully saved the ball. Rockfield's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
