Drumbrollisk's Bairee McAaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Healy Grant in the 13th minute of play. Beglan McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairee McAaron having to interfere. If Beglan McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Drumbrollisk's Bairee McAaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beglan McJames in the 18th minute of play. Beglan McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Healy Grant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bairee McAaron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Rogers charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Rogers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Drumbrollisk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Rogers to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Healy Grant to make the kick off. Bercnan McPaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beglan Cooney in the 52nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Bairee McAaron successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Drumbrollisk getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sameer Molloy hit a great ball. Beglan McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairee McAaron having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Beineon McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes, Drumbrollisk's Brenden Hunt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bercnan McPaul came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drumbrollisk reached it. In the 75th minute, Brine Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Teddy McLian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bercnan McPaul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 85 minutes, Flannery Molloy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Louth Utd and the Drumbrollisk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Louth Utd! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Drumbrollisk. Brenden Hunt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bercnan McPaul. 2-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Drumbrollisk were victorious despite being under pressure from Louth Utd for much of the match.
