In the 3rd minute Gearroid Gough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey McTom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Gearard Hamilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aubrey McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearroid Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Lawrence Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aubrey McTom having to interfere. Fionntán Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarlath Frankson in the 19th minute of play forced Ardloy's goalkeeper Boyce McDecland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gehan Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Jarlath Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Boyce McDecland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 23rd minute when Fionntán Moran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Boyce McDecland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarlath Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ballynasrah FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Dinny McWillie hit a great ball. Lawrence Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ballynasrah FC's Aubrey McTom got control of the ball when Lawrence Rogers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fionntán Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Boyce McDecland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Ardloy's goal looked a bit too open when Jarlath Frankson came free, but Boyce McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boyce McDecland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fionntán Moran in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Jarlath Frankson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballynasrah FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gearroid Gough was the one to do the kick off. Aubrey McTom came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Ardloy's Gearroid Gough. But to his dismay, Gearroid Gough quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Fionntán Moran received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Boyce McDecland came out and tried to block the shot, but Fionntán Moran slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Harry Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Rogers in the 64th minute of play forced Ballynasrah FC's goalkeeper Aubrey McTom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Donlevy Horgan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aubrey McTom skillfully saved the ball. When Ardloy's Gearroid Gough in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballynasrah FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 70th minute, Harry Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lawrence Rogers in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aubrey McTom saved Ballynasrah FC from getting behind. In the 74th minute Jarlath Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyce McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gehan Taylor hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Fionntán Moran scored 1-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boyce McDecland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Boyce McDecland successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Ballynasrah FC booed when Ardloy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gearroid Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ballynasrah FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Baine McDonald hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ardloy's zone, Fionntán Moran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce McDecland came out of the goal and Fionntán Moran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Harry Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballynasrah FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Frankson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyce McDecland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Ballynasrah FC got a freekick which was hit by Dinny McWillie. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ballynasrah FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
