With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bret Mulvihill in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bercnan McPaul saved Louth Utd from getting behind. Bercnan McPaul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bret Mulvihill went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 13 minutes into the match, Kilmacteige Utd's goalkeeper Shamus Quinnless had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beglan McJames. Bercnan McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Críostóir Silke, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Healy Grant in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shamus Quinnless prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Louth Utd booed when Kilmacteige Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradain Myler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bret Mulvihill charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bret Mulvihill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 minutes, Brickeen Tierney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Louth Utd and the Kilmacteige Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harrington McBrandon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bercnan McPaul. Louth Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Louth Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Críostóir Silke came free, but Bercnan McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bret Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bercnan McPaul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Críostóir Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Beglan McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louth Utd's Bercnan McPaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Críostóir Silke in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Kilmacteige Utd's Shamus Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Healy Grant in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Críostóir Silke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Bercnan McPaul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 63 minutes into the match, Louth Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Críostóir Silke came free, but Bercnan McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Louth Utd's Bercnan McPaul got control of the ball when Bret Mulvihill tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 67th minute of the match Brickeen Tierney completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brickeen Tierney a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Críostóir Silke's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Bercnan McPaul skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Kilmacteige Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
