After some careless play in the Drumbrollisk defense, Brendanus Colwell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bairee McAaron. The Drumbrollisk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bairee McAaron should have stopped the shot. If Beglan Cooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Drumbrollisk booed when Rockfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coran Doherty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teddy McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Donegan McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Bardain McJon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Brine Taylor fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drumbrollisk's protests and gave Brine Taylor a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Drumbrollisk got a freekick which was hit by Brine Taylor. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teddy McLian in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Coran Doherty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doney Holt scored 2-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bairee McAaron, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Teddy McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Beglan Cooney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Coran Doherty was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. A collision led to Rockfield getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Tevis Myler hit a great ball. Beglan Cooney scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Coran Doherty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brendanus Colwell made a kick off. Coran Doherty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beglan Cooney's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Rockfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tevis Myler to maneuver through the defense. In the 61stth minute of the game Beglan Cooney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rockfield's Coran Doherty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute Beglan Cooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coran Doherty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Rockfield's goalkeeper Coran Doherty had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teddy McLian. Beglan Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Teddy McLian sped through Rockfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Coran Doherty. After a defensive mix-up in Rockfield's zone, Teddy McLian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coran Doherty came out of the goal and Teddy McLian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Doney Holt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drumbrollisk's Bairee McAaron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teddy McLian's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Coran Doherty firmly grabbed it by the left post. Beglan Cooney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Coran Doherty having to make a save. Teddy McLian struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Coran Doherty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumbrollisk. After 86 minutes of play, Rockfield's Brendanus Colwell made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bairee McAaron was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute, Beglan Cooney fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Coran Doherty, passed just outside the right post. Beglan Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beglan Cooney in the 96th minute of play forced Rockfield's goalkeeper Coran Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drumbrollisk's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Rockfield had won, even though Drumbrollisk had held more of the ball.
