Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lawrence Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardloy's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrence Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conan McJames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irishford's Conan McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gehan Taylor in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Ardloy getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Toren Gallagher hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Buach Dunne in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boyce McDecland saved Ardloy from getting behind. If Buach Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Fionntán Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Buach Dunne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boyce McDecland was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Boyce McDecland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irishford. After 48 played minutes Ardloy got a freekick which was hit by Gearroid Gough. The Ardloy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Irishford were winning 1-2.

Buach Dunnes short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Boyce McDecland to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ardloy's Boyce McDecland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ardloy from getting a goal against them. Toren Gallagher got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ravan Crowe. Egan Horgan kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Boyce McDecland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After 89 minutes, Buach Dunne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irishford and the Ardloy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Buach Dunne kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Buach Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Boyce McDecland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Ardloy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Buach Dunne fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match was over Irishford could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ardloy throughout the match.
