Brenden Hunt's late challenge caught a Walsheslough FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brenden Hunt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Drumbrollisk getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Brenden Hunt hit a great ball. After 27 minutes, Joshua McFrancise mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drumbrollisk and the Walsheslough FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Drumbrollisk's Joshua McFrancise got a free kick in the 27th minute. Piers Frankson, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Walsheslough FC's Brendon McNamara got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gearoid Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teddy McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gearoid Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy McLian in the 35th minute of the match. Adamnan Frankson hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Beglan Cooney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearoid Scully. Walsheslough FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beglan Cooney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Breslin Scully made the kick off in the second half. The nice shot from Teddy McLian in the 57thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Gearoid Scully had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Gearoid Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beglan Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Drumbrollisk's Bairee McAaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon McNamara in the 82nd minute of play. Breslin Scully hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Joshua McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearoid Scully having to interfere. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Drumbrollisk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
