Boyce McDecland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Críostóir Silke's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Bret Mulvihill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilmacteige Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Bret Mulvihill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyce McDecland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ardloy's Boyce McDecland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Críostóir Silke in the 11th minute of play. Críostóir Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyce McDecland having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Blaithmeic Savic made a precise shot to the right of Boyce McDecland. Ardloy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Shamus Quinnless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearroid Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Lochlainn McSteven kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gearroid Gough in the 21st minute of play forced Kilmacteige Utd's goalkeeper Shamus Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lawrence Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shamus Quinnless having to interfere. Kilmacteige Utd were furious when Bera Dempsey was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Ardloy. Teris McTommy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Shamus Quinnless. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ardloy's Toren Gallagher got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 41 minutes into the match, Ardloy's goal looked a bit too open when Lochlainn McSteven came free, but Boyce McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bret Mulvihill was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Kilmacteige Utd's Bret Mulvihill dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Boyce McDecland made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Bret Mulvihill sent off a good shot on target. From close distance Bret Mulvihill pressed in the 1-3 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 63 minutes into the game. If Bret Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gearroid Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Shamus Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ardloy's zone, Bret Mulvihill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce McDecland came out of the goal and Bret Mulvihill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 played minutes Kilmacteige Utd got a freekick which was hit by Blathmacc Ferguson. After recieving a nice pass, Ardloy's Teris McTommy tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Boyce McDecland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bret Mulvihill went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Bradain Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baird Perth hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Boyce McDecland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bret Mulvihill in the 88th minute. Blaithmeic Savic kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Teris McTommy led 91 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Kilmacteige Utd's Shamus Quinnless became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-4. Gearroid Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Shamus Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shamus Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence Rogers in the 96th minute of play. Kilmacteige Utd's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
