Spectators: 7502 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1802, VIP seats: 150) 4 minutes into the match, Buach Dunne dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Coran Doherty, 1-0. The supporters of Rockfield booed when Irishford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairrionn McWill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rockfield's Coran Doherty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Rockfield from getting a goal against them. Rockfield's Coran Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torey Walker in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, Irishford's Buach Dunne made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Coran Doherty was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Rockfield's Coran Doherty got control of the ball when Buach Dunne tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rockfield's goalkeeper Coran Doherty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bantry Mullan made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tevis Myler however managed to control. After 23 minutes, Brion Savic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irishford and the Rockfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Irishford's Brion Savic got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Coran Doherty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Buach Dunne in the 25th minute. A collision led to Rockfield getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tevis Myler hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Irishford's Torey Walker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Coran Doherty narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Buach Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Coran Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conan McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendanus Colwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Buach Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brendanus Colwell was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Rockfield's Doney Holt got a free kick in the 55th minute. Beckett Gillmour made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tevis Myler. Tevis Myler's late challenge caught a Irishford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tevis Myler helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Rockfield got a freekick which was hit by Tevis Myler. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Buach Dunne sped through Rockfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Coran Doherty. Conan McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendanus Colwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Buach Dunne made a precise shot to the right of Coran Doherty. Rockfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Torey Walker came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Irishford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torey Walker couldn't finish the play. Buach Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buach Dunne in the 92nd minute of play forced Rockfield's goalkeeper Coran Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Buach Dunne in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Coran Doherty saved Rockfield from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Irishford fully deserved thier win.
