Bearach McCready's late challenge caught a Loumore's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bearach McCready helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Loumore booed when Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bearach McCready didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Loumore's goalkeeper Art Coyle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute Shannon Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brecc Palmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rylie Dillon scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brecc Palmer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Breandan Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Breandan Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bardain Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Barr McGlenn hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breandan Scully to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Mayo's Breandan Scully made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Art Coyle was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 62 played minutes Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Carrig McNamara. In the 64th minute of the match Barr McGlenn sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brecc Palmer skillfully saved the ball. If Breandan Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carrig McNamara hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Donell MaCollin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brecc Palmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Loumore's goal looked a bit too open when Breandan Scully came free, but Art Coyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brecc Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davie Ramsey in the 89th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
