Ballygarvan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Burke McFrank was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blathma Barrett's late challenge caught a Ballygarvan AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blathma Barrett helped the player get up and apologised. Blathma Barrett hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Roy Hunt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fachtna McDonald made a huge save. Britt Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fachtna McDonald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherlock Lavine in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Tullaha getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ennis McDecland hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Darren McWillie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bradley Dimson skillfully saved the ball. Ballygarvan AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Roy Hunt scored to the left of an out of position Fachtna McDonald, making the score, 1-0. Bevin Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fachtna McDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tullaha's zone, Kyle Harkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradley Dimson came out of the goal and Kyle Harkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brefni McLiam charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brefni McLiam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Ballygarvan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brefni McLiam to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Tullaha's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Harkin came free, but Bradley Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Ballygarvan AFC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Tullaha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Darren McWillie took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ballygarvan AFC's corner Darren McWillie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bradley Dimson quite easily take care of the ball. After 55 played minutes Tullaha got a freekick which was hit by Sherlock Lavine. Kyle Harkin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Bradley Dimson made a huge save. Bradley Dimson made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Kyle Harkin sent off a good shot on target. Gordan McMichel charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gordan McMichel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kyle Harkin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Bradley Dimson made a huge save. Bradley Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Britt Harkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kyle Harkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Britt Harkin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bradley Dimson. The goal made the score 1-1. Britt Harkin hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Bradley Dimson made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Kyle Harkin sent off a good shot on target. Bradley Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Britt Harkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bevin Scully blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fachtna McDonald having to make a save. Burke McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Dimson having to interfere. Britt Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Dimson having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Roy Hunt notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ballygarvan AFC's Fachtna McDonald. Fachtna McDonald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tullaha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ballygarvan AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
