After 7 played minutes Ballygarvan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Burke McFrank. The supporters of Deelis booed when Ballygarvan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bowen Kelly didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Britt Harkin in the 11th minute of play forced Deelis's goalkeeper Brendanus Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deelis's Brendanus Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Harkin in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Ballygarvan AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Darren McWillie hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Ballygarvan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brefni McLiam to maneuver through the defense. Tate Doherty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fachtna McDonald. Ballygarvan AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kyle Harkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Brendanus Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendanus Ghee came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballygarvan AFC's Britt Harkin. But to his dismay, Britt Harkin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Becc Hamilton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fachtna McDonald came out and tried to block the shot, but Becc Hamilton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the game, Ballygarvan AFC's Britt Harkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brendanus Ghee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Deelis booed when Ballygarvan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burke McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bowen Kelly in the 46th minute of play forced Deelis's goalkeeper Brendanus Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Becc Hamilton to make the kick off. Brendanus Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burke McFrank in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Kirby in the 54th minute of play forced Ballygarvan AFC's goalkeeper Fachtna McDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Britt Harkin in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brendanus Ghee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Britt Harkin came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ballygarvan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Britt Harkin couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Ballygarvan AFC's Britt Harkin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. 73 minutes into the match, Deelis's goalkeeper Brendanus Ghee had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kyle Harkin. Britt Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendanus Ghee having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deelis's zone, Kyle Harkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendanus Ghee came out of the goal and Kyle Harkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 played minutes Deelis got a freekick which was hit by Breanainn Sheridan. Kyle Harkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendanus Ghee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ballygarvan AFC's Burke McFrank got a free kick in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ballygarvan AFC's zone, Casey Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fachtna McDonald came out of the goal and Casey Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bowen Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Deelis booed when Ballygarvan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Britt Harkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ballygarvan AFC's Britt Harkin got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Ballygarvan AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deelis.
