Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sherlock Kelly kicked off to start the match. After 8 played minutes Calfstown got a freekick which was hit by Rollan Murphy. After 8 played minutes, Clontarf's Bryan Dillon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basil McPhilip came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clontarf reached it. 10 minutes into the match, Calfstown's goal looked a bit too open when Branagain Palmer came free, but Basil McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branagain Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Basil McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Branagain Palmer in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basil McPhilip prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, Breannain Byrne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calfstown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clontarf the free kick. In the 17th minute, Breannain Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dawayne Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Basil McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Clontarf's Dawayne Morrison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basil McPhilip narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baoithin Murphy hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Breannain Byrne hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Basil McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branagain Palmer in the 40th minute of play. The corner ended in Braonain McSteve almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Calfstown's Basil McPhilip did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Calfstown's zone, Branagain Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basil McPhilip came out of the goal and Branagain Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dawayne Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPhilip having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dawayne Morrison was the one to do the kick off. Bailey Caffey's late challenge caught a Clontarf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bailey Caffey helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Calfstown getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bailey Caffey hit a great ball. Basil McPhilip was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Branagain Palmer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 60 minute of play. Beacan Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPhilip having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dawayne Morrison in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Calfstown's Basil McPhilip got control of the ball when Branagain Palmer tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Calfstown's Birr Crowe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shane Coyle was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Calfstown getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bec Tracy hit a great ball. 84 minutes in the game Bryan Dillon got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Branagain Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPhilip having to interfere. Shane Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birr Crowe in the 88th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Clontarf's Braonain McSteve dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2.
