Petran Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Dempsey having to interfere. If Gealan Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th play minute Gealan Jameson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Paul Dempsey. 2-0. If Petran Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quinton Ghee hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Petran Gough fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clownings's protests and gave Petran Gough a yellow card for diving instead. Fergal McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Declan Ghee , who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierce Martyn in the 32nd minute of play forced Clownings's goalkeeper Fergal McJon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Ardfinnan FC's Pierce Martyn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fergal McJon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clownings's goalkeeper Fergal McJon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Clownings's goal looked a bit too open when Declan Ghee came free, but Fergal McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Clownings's Gealan Jameson made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Dempsey was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Declan Ghee made a kick off. Paul Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gealan Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Clownings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blamhac McNamee to maneuver through the defense. Bren McTommy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Gealan Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the game, Oliver Ramsey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Paul Dempsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Petran Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paul Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gealan Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paul Dempsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Ramsey's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Gealan Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clownings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gealan Jameson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aban McIan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ardfinnan FC defense, Oliver Ramsey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Dempsey. The Ardfinnan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Dempsey should have stopped the shot. Bairne McDecland kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The Clownings fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Clownings's Gealan Jameson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gealan Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clownings's supporters rose to their feet, but Gealan Jameson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Dempsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clownings's Oliver Ramsey got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clownings's Petran Gough got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Petran Gough off the ground.
