Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Loughlin Silke started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thom McDonald got free with Harry Todd in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute Brazil Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Séamus McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Séamus McDecland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loughlin Silke, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Brazil Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Todd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beary Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Washington's goalkeeper Harry Todd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eoin McLaughlin. 25 minutes into the match, Cornageeha's goal looked a bit too open when Brazil Dempsey came free, but Séamus McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loughlin Silke in the 27th minute of play forced Cornageeha's goalkeeper Séamus McDecland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Washington's Daniel Gallagher made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Séamus McDecland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thom McDonald charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thom McDonald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Beary Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Gollogley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Todd having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thom McDonald was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland Gollogley in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Todd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Harry Todd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eoin McLaughlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Beary Myler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry Todd was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Beary Myler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornageeha's supporters rose to their feet, but Beary Myler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Todd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 played minutes Washington got a freekick which was hit by Loughlin Silke. The crowd rose to their feet as Washington's Loughlin Silke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Séamus McDecland. That made the score 1-2 after 61 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thom McDonald in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Todd saved Washington from getting behind.
