Spectators: 6795 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Baine McAaron made the kick off which started today's match. Bat Robinson's late challenge caught a Clontarf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bat Robinson helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Corraneary got a freekick which was hit by Bat Robinson. Bryan Dillon, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 14th minute of the game, Beacan Lavine landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Braonain McSteve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braeden McFrancise having to interfere. Braeden McFrancise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braonain McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Bellaghy Sheridan might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braeden McFrancise. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bellaghy Sheridan ran back to his position shaking his head. Baine McAaron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shane Coyle having to make a save. In the 26th minute, Booak Bayes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Dawayne Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Corraneary's Binean Costello got a free kick in the 30th minute. Bernard Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Shane Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Corraneary's Declan Delaney got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Baine McAaron came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Corraneary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baine McAaron couldn't finish the play. Clontarf's Shane Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaynor McBjarton in the 44th minute of play. Bernard Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Shane Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaynor McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 55th minute, Dawayne Morrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clontarf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 59th minute, Daron McDonald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shane Coyle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Gaynor McBjarton came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Corraneary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaynor McBjarton couldn't finish the play. Corraneary's Baine McAaron quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Caimin Murphy , made in the 67th minute of the game. If Bernard Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shane Coyle was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Daron McDonald capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daron McDonald really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 74 minutes, Bellaghy Sheridan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clontarf and the Corraneary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bellaghy Sheridan hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Dawayne Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clontarf's supporters rose to their feet, but Dawayne Morrison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braeden McFrancise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bernard Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, one of Clontarf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clontarf. The referee gave Corraneary a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Shea Walker, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Clontarf's Shane Coyle. 1-3. Clontarf's Shane Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Booak Bayes in the 87th minute of play. Gaynor McBjarton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Shane Coyle made a huge save. Shane Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Walker in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Bellaghy Sheridan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clontarf's supporters rose to their feet, but Bellaghy Sheridan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braeden McFrancise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Corraneary getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Booak Bayes hit a great ball. Declan Delaney kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
