If Birr Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Calfstown's Basil McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sheridan McPhilip in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Sheridan McPhilip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sheridan McPhilip struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Basil McPhilip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bunnaton AFC. If Toren McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toren McPauls short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Basil McPhilip to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Bunnaton AFC booed when Calfstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binnech McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Toren McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basil McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sheridan McPhilip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Breannain Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ros Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sherlock Kelly in the 34th minute of play. If Toren McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toren McPaul got free with Basil McPhilip in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Toren McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunnaton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Toren McPaul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basil McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Bunnaton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sherlock Kelly came free, but Ros Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birr Crowe got free with Ros Gough in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Birr Crowe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th match minute, Calfstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breannain Byrne to maneuver through the defense. Birr Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ros Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Toren McPaul ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basil McPhilip was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ros Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sherlock Kelly in the 89th minute of play. Bunnaton AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
